In case you are new to the world of large applique designs, let me fill you in. A large applique design is one which needs 2 or more hoopings, with the joining completed as you stitch, in the hoop. The beauty of my large applique designs is you can quickly create a 3D Design much larger than your hoop.


You can make the cake as a one-off – personalised for a special occasion – think Graduations, Baby Showers, Baby reveals etc, or my original idea was a ‘family’ Birthday Cake with individual Balloons, which has now evolved to a Freebie Balloon Gift card Holder  - there are many possibilities – I can’t see wait to see what you all come up with

This versatile Stacked Cake design is created in 2 quick hooping’s, so you can make a finished Cake larger than your hoop size

We use hoop size descriptions in line with usual industry terms.  If you are unsure if your hoop is big enough for a design, please check the size in mm, or click here for a list of common Embroidery Hoop Sizes

Please note that our 6x10 designs utilize the full embroidery field, which may not fit within the Oval Bernina hoop. If this is the case, you may need to use a larger Bernina hoop or opt for the 5x7 designs instead.
